Silo Art

If you’re heading south (towards either Melbourne or Adelaide) and you’re not in a hurry, consider following the Silo Art Trail. There are numerous country towns that have painted some very impressive artworks on their enormous grain silos.

One of Australia’s largest family-owned wineries is just 5 minutes from Tooleybuc. With a wide range of wines available to taste and a beautiful spot to picnic by the lake outside, Andrew Peace Wines is the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. 

Music Festivals

The Tooleybuc Sporting Club hosts a number of Jazz and Country music festivals throughout the year. These events are very popular, so please book ahead to avoid disappointment. If you’re interested to know the dates and availability for upcoming events please enquire at reception.

Kyalite Pub

15 minutes northeast (towards Balranald) is the tiny village of Kyalite, situated on the banks of the Wakool River. It was founded in 1848 as a point for crossing the Wakool via punt, which was used by the explorers Burke and Wills in 1860. Today it is home to Australia's largest commercial pistachio nut farm. The Kyalite Hotel was established in 1858 and has been faithfully restored, complete with pressed iron walls. It’s certainly worth stopping in to take a look around (and perhaps indulging with a cool drink!).

The Kyalite Pub also host the annual Kyalite Fishing Classic. The Kyalite Fishing Classic is a celebrated annual fishing competition held in the small town of Kyalite, NSW, drawing hundreds of anglers from across Australia to fish along the scenic Wakool River.
